Cassette or insert stoves are stoves the perfect solution for building a new fireplace or wanting to get more out of an old one. A cassette heats the home, unlike an open fire which loses heat up the chimney. A closed fireplace also releases far fewer particles into the atmosphere. Contura manufacture with the latest technology, producing fires which are very energy efficient. The fireplace is easy to light and reaches full output within a few minutes. Contura cassettes are available with a choice of sizes, doors and designs. The inserts consist of a convection box and a firebox. The convection box is easy to install, adjust and connect to the chimney, either straight up or at a 45° angle diagonally backwards.

The Contura i4 Modern blends easily into position in the fireplace. This insert stove gives an old fireplace new life with a stripped down design, generous glass and efficient technology. The Contura i4 offers portrait proportions, and is available as a 3 or 4-sided model in a choice of 2 colours; black or grey. The 3-sided model is suited to hearth mounted fireplace applications, whereas the 4-sided alternative lends nicely to a raised chimney position. The i4 Modern features a removable handle which can be taken off and put to one side to keep it cool for the next time wood is added to the firebox.

In the rear of the stove there is an extra duct system for spreading preheated combustion air. The system is called Clean Burning and is activated by sliding the control on the front to the left. The stove burns efficiently and for long periods resulting in a combustion with very low particle concentrations.

A Contura Outdoor air inlet ensures the stove can be connected to outdoor air. Connecting the stove to outdoor air means that the firebox will receive cool, oxygen rich outdoor air to give more efficient combustion.
